What is Thermography?

Thermography, also known as infrared thermal imaging (IR), is a non-contact, non-destructive test method that utilizes a thermal imager to detect, display and record thermal patterns and temperatures across the surface of an object. Infrared thermography may be applied to any situation where knowledge of thermal profiles and temperatures will provide meaningful data about a system, object or process.

Infrared thermal imaging is a valuable tool in diagnosing unseen problems such as moisture intrusion, roof leaks, missing insulation and electrical issues in all types of buildings and applications. Thermal imaging is also key to optimizing preventive maintenance of electrical, mechanical and structural systems, preventing unscheduled downtime and is a guide for needed corrective action and increase property safety.

Recent Project
After Hurricane Matthew, the rental company said the home was ready to rent. The owner had us scan the home to be sure. Dark Blue areas are moisture in the walls. When visually observing the wall and touching the wall everything appeared normal. Testing of the areas detected confirmed our finding with moisture meter readings of 99.9%. Proactively addressing the issue will prevent further damage to the home and protect the health of the family and renters from possible mold infestation
